our approach

Different perspectives. A shared belief that you deserve to feel heard, understood and met as a whole person.

a relationship, not a formula

you bring your whole self. we start there.

You don't need to know the name of a theory before you sit down with us. We want to understand your story, what matters to you, and what you hope might feel different.

room to be yourself

connection comes first

We believe compassion, empathy and connection are the foundation of meaningful therapy. We strive to make room for your thoughts and feelings, including the ones you worry are too messy or hard to explain.

The relationship you build with your therapist matters. Feeling heard and understood can make it easier to be curious about yourself, try something different, or simply say what has been difficult to say.

your story has context

we look beyond the immediate problem

We listen for patterns in what you share and how you relate to yourself and others. Sometimes a familiar reaction makes more sense when we understand where it began.

That can mean exploring early relationships, family expectations, culture, or the pressures around you now. We don't see you as an isolated problem. Your relationships and environment belong in the conversation, too.

Understanding the past isn't about staying there. It can help you notice what still serves you, what no longer fits, and where you might have more choice.

different ways in

thoughtful care, tailored to you

Our team draws on different approaches. Here is what some of those perspectives can mean in everyday language.

psychodynamic & attachment-based

Exploring how early experiences and relationships may shape present-day patterns, closeness and self-protection.

person-centered & humanistic

Making room for your lived experience, values and capacity for growth, rather than telling you who you should be.

cognitive behavioral therapy

Noticing connections between thoughts, feelings and behaviors, and exploring different responses in daily life.

emotionally focused & experiential

Making space for emotions as they happen and exploring the ways we seek connection with others.

solution-focused

Building on your strengths and what is already helping, with manageable steps toward what you want to change.

family systems

Looking at relationship patterns within families and across generations, rather than placing everything on one person.

Not every therapist uses every approach. We will talk with you about your needs, your preferences and the clinician whose experience may be a good fit.

you get a say

the right fit matters

Therapy can be hard work. Feeling like you have to perform for your therapist shouldn't be part of it.

We welcome questions about how we work and conversations about what feels helpful or doesn't. Your pace, boundaries and feedback are warmly encouraged here. We want to work alongside you, not from a script about how your life should look.

let’s connect.

You don't have to choose a theory. Tell us a little about what you're looking for, and we can help you explore where to start.
