Hello! Jazmyne here. Nice to meet you.
education
University of Nevada–Las Vegas, Master of Science, Couple and Family Therapy (2020–2022)
Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, Bachelor of Arts, Psychology (2016–2020)
why i do this
I was inspired to become a therapist to help bridge the gap in mental health care within minority communities. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered, especially those whose voices have historically been overlooked.
who i work with
I work with a wide range of clients, including adults, couples, families, children (ages 10+), LGBTQ+ individuals, and BIPOC communities. I have specialized training in Prepare & Enrich Premarital Counseling, and I especially enjoy supporting clients through relationship issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and communication difficulties.
how i work
My approach to therapy is open, compassionate, and direct. I draw from modalities like Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Experiential Therapy, always tailoring my style to best support your unique needs and goals.
off the clock
Outside of the therapy room, I love spending time with my child and our playful puppy. You can often find me writing poetry, getting lost in a good book, or unwinding with yoga.
Wherever you are in your journey, I'm here to walk alongside you.
